Itinerary
DAY 1 – SWISS ALPS – ITALY
Early morning departure, head south via Basel, Lucerne and the scenic Swiss Alps. Early evening we will arrive in Tuscany.
DAY 2 - FLORENCE
All day dedicated to Florence. Follow your guide to the magnificent cathedral, Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistry’s amazing “Gates to Paradise”, sculpture -studded Signoria Square and the lively Santa Croce square. Time to explore through the shops. Florentine leather goods and gold jewelery are attractive buys. You may pay a visit to Michelangelo’s celebrated sculture of David in the Accademia museum (online ticket purchase is highly reccomended). Early evening, learn about the fine art of Chianti wine making at a Chianti winery and taste some of their delicious wines, along with appetizers and home made pasta.
DAY 3 – SIENA – SAN GIMIGNANO
After breakfast, a pleasant drive through the rolling hills of Chianti to Siena. Our walk through ancient, narrow streets will bring us to beautiful Piazza del Campo, site of the biannual Pallio, Siena’s famous medieval style horse race. Some free time, then on to the hilltop town of San Gimignano, the most picturesque of Italy’s perfectly preserved medieval towns. Tonight, join in for our Tuscan Gala Dinner with serenata live music entertainement and wine.
DAY 4 – PISA – RETURN
After check out, we drive to Pisa, located near the coast. The city is mainly known for its architectural wonder, the Leaning Tower. Sightseeing, then time for last minute shopping until we head back north. Around midnight we will reurn to Ramstein.

Horizon Tours now offers a cancellation policy to our clients for a small additional fee. .This policy extends our current policy that allows military members to cancel their tour at no cost if the member is required to perform military duty on the date(s) of the tour. The new policy covers the client (you) in the event you are unable to participate in the tour after you have made payment for any of the following stated conditions:
1. Death of the client (or client’s spouse, child, or parent within 4 weeks of the date of the scheduled tour).
2. Illness of the client (or the client’s spouse, child, or parents) that prevents the client from participating in the tour and requires the client to care for their spouse, child, or parent. (Certification from a medical doctor is required). 3. Required military duty of the client’s spouse or parent if the client is traveling with the military member. This condition expands on our current policy that allows a refund if the client is a military member and is required to perform military duty during the date(s) of the scheduled tour. In this case, the military member’s spouse and /or children would be permitted to cancel the tour and be entitled to a full refund (less cancellation policy fee) if they did not wish to take the tour without their spouse/parent.
In the event you cancel a tour for any of the above stated conditions, Horizon Tours will refund the full amount of your tour price (less the cancellation policy fee). The cancellation fee listed in our pamphlet is per person.

Day Tours: Park toward center of the lot. Overnight Tours: Park in the overnight parking area. Tour guide will provide parking passes.
Special Note About Travel Documents
Travelers must be in possession of a Blue US Tourist Passport. Nationalities traveling with a non US Tourist Passport must check with the respective consulates and ensure they have the appropriate travel documents required to enter all countries the tour visits and travels through.
