Itinerary
Day 1 - Burgundy
Early morning departure. Drive via Metz, Nancy, then into Burgundy, where we pay a short visit to Beaune, a perfectly preserved medieval jewel and the center of the Cote d'Or wine region. See the ramparts, the Hotel Dieu and explore the unique historical district. On we travel, along the famous burgundy vineyards, then south into the Provence region with its Lavender fields and mediterranean climate. In the evening we reach Cannes or Nice at the French Riviera (French: Côte d’Azur). Check in, freshen up, if you wish, check out the nightlife!
Day 2 - Nice + Monaco
All day to enjoy the atmosphere of the Côte d'Azur. Stroll along the beach promenade, relax at a café shop in the elegant boutiques. In the afternoon, join an excursion to the Dukedom of Monaco.: Drive along one of Europe's most scenic routes, the "Moyenne Corniche" via Eze, where we'll visit a perfume factory. In Monaco, See the Ducal Palace, stroll through the narrow alleys of the historical center, free time to enjoy the exclusive flair.
Day 3 - Cannes + Cote D'Azur
Today, discover Cannes, see the old harbor, the exclusive and legendary hotels, the Film Festival Hall. Weather permitting, you may want to sail over to the Isle of Sainte Marguerite. Enjoy a walk through the marvelous National Park on the Island with it’s Mediterranean flora and fauna. The evening is free for your own activities. Last night on the Riviera!
Day 4 - Pont du Gard
In the morning, we depart and head towards the Camarque region. Visit of one of the most imposing ancient monuments, the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct, built across the Gard valley. Natural beauties combined with awesome architecture. Drive past Lyon back to Ramstein Late evening arrival.
Special Note About Travel Documents
Travelers must be in possession of a Blue US Tourist Passport. Nationalities traveling with a non US Tourist Passport must check with the respective consulates and ensure they have the appropriate travel documents required to enter all countries the tour visits and travels through.
Please note: Insurance must be purchased at time of booking or within 24 hours of placing the booking / reservation.
Horizon Tours now offers a cancellation policy to our clients for a small additional fee. .This policy extends our current policy that allows military members to cancel their tour at no cost if the member is required to perform military duty on the date(s) of the tour. The new policy covers the client (you) in the event you are unable to participate in the tour after you have made payment for any of the following stated conditions:
1. Death of the client (or client’s spouse, child, or parent within 4 weeks of the date of the scheduled tour).
2. Illness of the client (or the client’s spouse, child, or parents) that prevents the client from participating in the tour and requires the client to care for their spouse, child, or parent. (Certification from a medical doctor is required). 3. Required military duty of the client’s spouse or parent if the client is traveling with the military member. This condition expands on our current policy that allows a refund if the client is a military member and is required to perform military duty during the date(s) of the scheduled tour. In this case, the military member’s spouse and /or children would be permitted to cancel the tour and be entitled to a full refund (less cancellation policy fee) if they did not wish to take the tour without their spouse/parent.
In the event you cancel a tour for any of the above stated conditions, Horizon Tours will refund the full amount of your tour price (less the cancellation policy fee). The cancellation fee listed in our pamphlet is per person.
